Adelaide Fringe - Here We Come

Shakespeare's Mothers: Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know
has got it's next gig confirmed and we are heading home to Australia for the Adelaide Fringe early in 2011.

We will be on at one of Adelaide's top fringe theatre venues, The Bakehouse Theatre, where we'll take to the main stage from 21 February to 12 March.

The show presents the Bard's most exciting female characters: Tamora, Queen Margaret, Lady Macbeth, Dioniza and more, and was enjoyed by lovely, big, happy audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe where it had its World Premier in August this year.

Shakespeare's Mothers:... was written by Straylight's actor/manager, Kath Perry and directed for the Edinburgh Fringe by established UK classical theatre tutor and director, Greg de Polnay. The Adelaide production will be directed by the Artistic Director of Factory Space Theatre Company, Roz Riley. The all-Australian cast will stay the same, featuring Alexander Jonas, Cat Martin and Kath.

Though there will be over 740 shows at Adelaide, it won't be quite as crowded as Edinburgh, so we've got a bit more time and will be showing a slightly longer version of the play - even more mad, bad and dangerous mums for your money!

Tickets go on sale on January 8th - click on the FringeTIX Logo to book after that date.

After Adelaide, we will continue looking for new audiences for Shakespeare's Mothers: Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know by talking to other festivals, theatres, tour producers and funding bodies in Australia, the UK and beyond to see what we can do together.

This site is our major resource for providing information about the show and the company to these prospective partners. We hope you'll find all the information you'd like here. If not, please contact Kath at the email address below.
